Privacy Policy

Zoopify Ventures (“Zoopify”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates zoopify.in and the Zoopify app/website (the “Platform”), delivering certified refurbished and second-hand premium mobile phones within Bengaluru. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how it’s used, and your rights over it, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).
By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described here.
1. Information we collect
a) Information you give us directly
- Name, phone number, email address — when you sign up or log in.
- Delivery address and pincode — when you place an order.
- Government-issued photo ID (visual verification only, no copy retained) — checked by our delivery rider at the time of handover, to confirm you’re the person named on the order.
- Any details you share with us over WhatsApp or customer support (e.g. a return/cancellation reason, a swap/trade-in request).
b) Information collected automatically
- Login/session data via OTP verification (see Section 4 — MSG91).
- Order history, cart activity, and payment status.
- With your consent (see our Cookie Policy): analytics data via Google Analytics (GA4) and Meta Pixel — pages visited, general usage patterns, device/browser type. These trackers do not load at all until you click “Accept” on our cookie banner.
c) Information we do not collect
- We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details — all online payments are processed directly by our payment gateway partner (Section 4); we only receive a payment status and a gateway reference ID, never your raw payment credentials.
- We do not use GPS/location tracking on the Platform — delivery serviceability is determined by the pincode you enter at checkout, not your device location.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account, and verify your identity via OTP.
- To process, deliver, and support your orders — including confirming delivery serviceability for your pincode, generating tax invoices, and (where applicable) processing cancellations, returns, and refunds.
- To communicate with you about your order (WhatsApp, SMS/OTP, and where applicable email) — including delivery updates, warranty claims, and support requests.
- To improve the Platform and, only with your consent, to measure site usage and marketing performance via analytics.
- To meet our legal obligations — including retaining GST tax invoices and financial records for as long as Indian tax law requires.
3. Data retention
We currently retain account and order data indefinitely — there is no fixed automatic deletion period. If you’d like your personal data deleted, contact us (Section 7) and we’ll act on your request, except where we’re legally required to retain records (for example, GST tax invoices, which Indian law requires us to keep for several years regardless of account deletion).
4. Who we share your information with
We share the minimum data necessary with the following service providers, solely to run the Platform — none of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes:

We do not sell your personal data to anyone, for any reason.
5. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored and processed on servers located in India. We do not currently transfer your personal data outside India.
6. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g. analytics) at any time.
- Request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations (Section 3).

8. Age restriction
The Platform is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above will always reflect the latest revision.
